Water is a precious and beautiful natural resource we all need to help conserve.
Your concern for the environment is shared by GRAFF - it’s at the forefront of everything we do. From implementing ISO 14001 and therefore meeting the rigorous Environmental Management Systems (EMS) standards, to offering products that respect strict conservation standards, GRAFF is green in every way.
GRAFF’s manufacturing system is based on an innovative Lean Manufacturing Management concept. By eliminating waste in the form of time, energy, and materials, each process achieves substantial efficiencies. Even with all the foundry, metal finishing, and modernized plating, GRAFF has a zero discharge system that recycles 100% of brass and paper products.
GRAFF also works closely with the LEED (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) green building rating system. This third-party certification program is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance buildings.
Many GRAFF bathroom faucets and showerheads are certified to meet the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense criteria. WaterSense-labeled products undergo a rigorous independent testing and verification process and must provide measurable water savings. WaterSense-labeled faucets—or flow reducers that can be installed on existing bathroom faucets—are more efficient than standard faucets. GRAFF faucets with flow reducers use 50% less water than standard faucets without flow reducers do. Standard faucets without flow reducers use 2.6 gpm, while GRAFF faucets with flow reducers use only 1 gpm, while still providing sufficient water flow. If every household in America installed a flow-reducer in their faucets, 60 billion gallons of water could collectively be saved per year.
Multiple GRAFF products meet the new CALGreen standards set forth in California. CALGreen minimum standards put in place sensible green practices to incorporate environmentally responsible construction measures into everyday building in California.
GRAFF has embraced these water-use standards and integrated them into innovative faucets, hand-showers, and showerhead designs. CALGreen is an integral step in designing green buildings and reducing the carbon footprint houses and buildings have on the environment.
Being Actively Green is not a choice. It’s a responsibility. Trust GRAFF faucets and shower systems to help conserve one of our most precious natural resources.
