What is a Powder Coat Finish?

Powder Coat finishes provide resistance to humidity and ultraviolet light and have a long lifespan. GRAFF’s Powder Coat finishes are Architectural Black™ (BK), Matte Black (MBK), Architectural White (WT), Steelnox® Satin Nickel (SN), and Olive Bronze (OB). GRAFF’s Vintage Brushed Brass (VBB) finish is a liquid epoxy coating with properties similar to Powder Coat.

How is a Powder Coat Finish Made?

Powder coat finishes are developed with electrostatic spray deposition, a dry finishing process where a fine powder is applied on a metallic base, then dried at high temperatures.

Powder Coat Finish Care

To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. Remove dirt or stains from soap or toothpaste deposits by washing the unit with soapy water only. Dissolve scale deposits with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water, rinse with clean water and blot dry with a soft cloth. Do not soak the product in the solution. As vinegar is a mild acid, prolonged contact with the finished surfaces could damage the finish coating.

Never use coarse cloths or any abrasive cleaners, acids, solvents, or bleach. Do not clean lacquered parts with chemicals containing alcohol, disinfectants, or solvents.
