Fixtures Dazzle at DPHA Event l Kitchen & Bath Design News

Hot business topics and high-end plumbing were the focus of the Decorative Plumbing and Hardware Association’s 2015 Annual Conference and Product Showcase, held in October at the Hilton at Torry Pines in La Jolla, CA. Attendees walked a show floor filed with top-of-the-line fixtures and fittings, took part in networking events and attended on-point conferences during the three-day event.

Steve Brazell, founder of Hitman, Inc., a boutique branding firm, presented the keynote address, a highlight of the conference. Brazell discussed how consumers and business have changed, including the way in which customers buy and showrooms sell, and how to understand the new dynamics and work with them to be successful. Additional presentations tackled topics related to designers and showrooms, products and cost, hiring personnel and running a family business.

The show floor enjoyed brisk traffic throughout the event, with 70 exhibitors showcasing what’s new and notable in decorative plumbing products. Many of the items that were on display are featured on these three pages, including those tapped with DPHA’s Product of the Year honors as indicated.

15. The Dressage Freestanding Vanity from GRAFF is fashioned from DuPont Corian and Canaletto walnut solid wood. Designed by Nespoli and Novara Design Studio, the compact and minimalist unit features a sawhorse-shaped base that conceals all plumbing. The vanity is customizable and includes a complementing adjustable mirror, shelf and towel hook.
